Chris Achilleos is one of today's most acclaimed fantasy artists. His work has included book covers for authors Edgar Rice Borroughs, Micheal Moorcock, Robert E. Howard, and J. R. R. Tolkien as well as illustrations for Dr. Who and Star Trek. His clients have been Hollywood icons such as Ray Harryhausen, Ron Howard and George Lucas. Chris also produced concept designs for the films Heavy Metal and Willow. Poster work has included SuperGirl, Bladerunner and Jackie Chan's "The Protector". He is best known for his images of mythic fantasy and exotic heroines, which illustrate triumphant battles and "unattainable perfection". Achilleos's influence started when he was young, with Greek mythology learned in part from classic comic illusrtration. While studying technical and scientific drawing, he collected American comics. This influence, combined with his eternal fascination with mythic heroes, training, and technical talent, has made Chris Achilleos artwork the most dynamic and thrilling fantasy artwork to behold.
