Alien: Resurrection
Alien
4 is set aboard an
enormous spaceship 200 years after the events of Alien 3. Scientists
researching the Aliens need hosts, and require an Alien Queen specimen.
Thus, Ripley is cloned from preserved blood samples. The baby Alien Queen is
harvested from Ripley's chest, but the clone has alien DNA mixed into her
genes. Mercenaries arrive to deliver human hosts and attempt to take control
of the ship. Amidst this chaos, the aliens escape to massacre the humans.
This $70 million special effects rampage is a feast for the eyes.
As
usual, Giger didn't get as much credit as he deserved. Despite somewhat disparaging
movie reviews, Giger remains content with the way all of the films ended up.
Alien: Resurrection ended up foreshadowing a fifth (and probably final)
Alien movie. Behold this visual feat and let the wait begin! |
